Learn French without the guesswork

Françoise’s tutoring for my son and his French GCSE exams was 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Not only is she a lovely person who really cares and wants to help she is clearly very good a teaching French, so much so that she’s created her own online programme that goes from beginner to advanced. Not only did my son have 1:1 sessions with her but also accessed the online resources which really helped him in between sessions. I had a fantastic experience learning French with Languistique. I started lessons to prepare for a trip to France, and I felt so much more confident thanks to Francoise. She was happy to tailor each lesson for me and focus on the activities that I was planning to do on my trip. The videos she provided were really helpful too. Françoise tutored my son for one and half years for his St Paul's scholarship exam. She is a very dedicated, hard working teacher and she made specific resources for my son that greatly improved his French writing abilities for his exams. I had been trying to learn French for over 20 years and had never got beyond the perfect tense before I discovered Françoise. Now I have most of the tenses at my disposal. I initially attended the classes and found them to be well structured with a format which she followed week by week, alongside audio with transcripts. The audios come in all formats. After lockdown I completed some of the intermediate course, but soon found classes on Zoom more convenient. I am able to follow the course via handouts and homework is corrected on screen so I can see immediately where I have made mistakes. Françoise then posts it back to me for my files. I am never afraid to ask questions, and Françoise explains again and again if needs be. She understands that we all learn at different rates and in different ways. No question is ever too silly. I have now finished the advance course via Zoom, but in order to fill in those gaps that appeared along the way, I have also subscribed to her red subscription course and started from the beginning. The grammar appears alongside the vocabulary and sentence building. It is a multi-facetted course with grammar, tenses and verbs alongside a French speaker. I did not appreciate how far I had come until restarting the course. I use the dialogue as a dictation and can see my mistakes by pausing and checking. I am currently having 1:1 tuition with Francoise, supported by the online course materials. The lessons are relaxed, self paced, flexible but organised. The course materials are very comprehensive (from beginner to advanced) and well structured. Highly recommended.

I have had some individual tuition with Francoise as well as being part of a monthly group tutorial. Without exception Francoise’s lessons are topical, giving a wide range of vocabulary and with focused grammar exercises to complete. Her approach is very student friendly and one of the most approachable tutors I have encountered. I would recommend Francoise to anyone wishing to start learning or improve their French language skills. The distance learning material is also excellent.

After struggling for years with French verb tenses, extensive use of Languistique’s subscription videos enabled me to comfortably pass the DELF B1 exam at the first attempt.
